Windsurfing: Jericoacoara, Brazil Wind Direction: SE Wind Stength: 15-20 knots Surf / Sea State: Flat/small swell on the outsid Air Temperature: Scorchio! Sea Temperature: Scorchio! Weather: Sunset-tastic Max Speed: Distance Covered:
Went out at 2pm. Perfect 6.5 weather. I was on a 5.2. Arse.
Came back in after an hour of slogging/swimming and contemplated the
conditions over a coconut with Marella (girl I´m working with) and a few
of the clients at the centre. Wind seemed to be picking up so tried again
at about 3.45pm. Was much better, only just powered up on my 5.2 rigged as
full as poss with negative outhaul and boom right at the top of the cutout,
but was planing for most of the time. A few nice jumps and smooth tacks but
nothing particulaly exciting, just enjoying cruising along up and down the
rolling swell. Was difficult to stay upwind due to underpowered-ness but
managed OK.
Only a 5 minute swim at the end back to the beach! And another cracking
sunset to finish off the day.
